On Wednesday I receive one of the most heartbreak emails ever. A Heart Break E-mail and I posted the entirely email as it, as a proof of what is happen in the VETERNAS ADMINISTRATION (VA).

VA literally is broken in his finances and the bureaucracy in this department follow a steady course, those facts are the principals cause of dissatisfaction for many VETERANS who are rightfully entitle to receive the assistance they deserve from the VA.

This soldiers practically are begging to the VA for solutions, THE ONLY THINK THEY WANT is receive a respectfully treatment, They want his payments on time and the necessary medical assistance they need, They want to be loved by his country as they much loved it.

Not enough was the discovering of the disastrous mistreatment they suffer in the Walter Reid Hospital, they receive promises and some improvement, just the necessary actions to calm down the media, but the really true is nobody is talking about the continue injustice this proudly HEROS receiving every single day from the VA.

If there is some institution in this country need a BAILOUT is the VA, they has the great responsibility of taking care of all VETERANS?

Of course at this point there are not EXTRAORDINARY session of the CONGRESSMAN favoring any solution in this mess of the VA, NOT special declarations of the Speaker of the House, or the Majority Leader calling for immediate and expedite solutions of the SOLDIERS problems dealing with the VA, as they did easily in FAVOR of the corrupted institutions in wall street.........NO, there are NOT prefabricated NEWS CONFERENCE voicing for a quickly and smart solutions for the VETERANS ADMINISTRATION , there are NOT RUSH to solve his problems, NO pressure to the people and fancy explanations to secure VOTES.

At the end of the day nothing is going to happen, may be they think …….. THEY ARE TOO LITTLE AND TOO POOR.

It’s incredible and hard to believe, these two young soldiers practically begin for money because the VA unwariness’.

I can't visualize how this kind of differences could happen in this country?

Lawmakers know what happen in the VETERAN ADMINISTRATION, this is nothing new, this problem coming from years before. But always they couldn't find out the right solution, only promises and long time lapses and debates, until something special come out trough the media like this issue of the Walter Reid. I just wondering if someone of these busy lawmakers of Washington are going to read this: A Heart Break E-mail.

Why does the Congress ISSUE a rush and fair “BAILOUT” to the VETERANS ADMINISTRATION (VA) solving definitively and permanently all the PROEBLEMS THEY SURELLY HAS, as a real signal of gratitude for all what this soldiers did, after all is his responsibility's to do so.

Just am calling for some justice and sensibility to the attention of the President-Elected Barack Obama, I do not expect nothing being solve by the Bush Administration.

Just am calling to the leaders of the Congress for an EQUAL TREATMENT for these citizens, who with his WATCHS and exposures in dangerous way are granting the LIBERTY AND SECURITY of his countryman and them as congressmen’s they fully enjoyed.

This proudly man’s and women’s of the United States Armed Forces, HERO’S of the past and present wars, deserved nothing less than EQUAL TREATMENT, quickly and expedites solutions for the VETRANS ADMINISTRATION (VA), as others entitlements or institutions recently receive from the United State Congress.

The campaign schedule has been pretty intense over the last week and will continue to be so until the BIG day on Tuesday, November 4th. I want to congratulate everyone for putting so much effort into this year's election, not just for an individual campaign, but for the entire Democratic ticket. I've seen people in every community throughout the 5th district working to make sure the message is getting out.

I want to remind everyone it is important that we finish strong. Don't take anything for granted, ignore the polls and work like the polls show our candidates 5 points down. Remember, while all indications show Barack Obama will be our next president, if we believe the polls, Al Gore would be concluding his second term or we would be working to re-elect President John Kerry right now.

After watching the debate I have to speak up. I am a currently serving veteran of the Iraq war who is soon to go back. Senator McCain, with all due respect, you do NOT speak for me. And just as you do not speak for me; I do not speak for all Soldiers. We all think for ourselves.

Stop implying that you are the only one who can understand our veterans, because for millions of us clearly you do not. So let me address some of the things you said during the debate.

Dem. VP Nominee Joe Biden Vows To End Iraq War

Greensburg, PA: Speaking to a packed house in the Greensburg Salem High School gym Thursday, Democratic VP nominee Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) criticized the Bush Administration on its handling of U.S. military involvement in Iraq, shouting, “we will end this war.”

Introduced by NFL Hall of Famer and Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney, and Norma Margonari, a local activist who comes from a large family of coal miners, Biden opened his remarks by thanking Pittsburgh for pitching in to help his family. He choked up and somberly spoke about how after his wife and daughter were killed in an automobile accident, Rocky Bleier, one of the Steelers, came to his sons’ hospital room to give them footballs to cheer them up, at the request of Dan Rooney’s dad.

Biden calmed fears when he said the Obama-Biden team would guarantee to keep Social Security intact. He answered questions on health care benefits and fixing the economy - but his most crowd-rousing comments were given about the Iraq War.

His statement, “Imagine a country where we only go to war when it is absolutely necessary” brought a big round of applause.

Biden continued, “and when we do….. we go with the support of the rest of the world.” More big applause. And then, ” Ladies and gentlemen, we will end this war.” Standing ovation.

Senator Biden’s got a personal interest in six-year long war, since his family learned their oldest son, Beau, currently Delaware’s Attorney General, and a captain in the National Guard, will be deployed to Iraq next month. But he’s been blasting the Bush Administration for several years for their lack of commitment to benefits for vets returning home, including making it extremely hard to be considered “eligible” for education and health benefits once their tours of duty are over.

Last year, the senator’s bill to provide funding for MRAPs, mine resistant ambush protected vehicles, paved the way for construction and distribution of these V-shaped hull tanks, directly leading to a dramatic drop in the deaths of US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan who were hit by roadside bombs. The bill was passed by a vote of 75-24. The one remaining vote was Sen. Hillary Clinton, who was absent in the Senate that day.

Pittsburgh has a higher than average number of residents in the U.S. military. Speaking to the veterans and their families in the crowd, Biden continued, “The only people sacrificing right now are those who have children or husbands or wives who are serving, and the families that are left behind. And we don’t mention it often enough, but we have thousands of people who have died. We have over 30,000 who have been wounded.”

He continued, “Ladies and gentlemen, we owe them. We owe them more than we can ever repay them.”

The senator stayed to answer questions (unlike his counterpart, Gov. Sarah Palin, so far…) and left to a standing ovation.

USMC Sgt. Rafael Peralta

When you read this kind of news you don't have any other option to ask yourself what the heck is going on.

It is really a disgrace what happen with this decision and happens to some one who can't repost or said anything about it, because he already pay the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

The Mexican-American, United Stated Marine Corps, Sergeant Rafael Peralta didn't realize this injustice could happen to him when he enrolled the United Stated Marine Corps, he just enrolled and defend his country with honor and heroism. He deserve the medal Of Honor, because his action in the line of duty on November 15, 2004.

Here is the history of his heroic action:

1.- Marines exchange fire with Iraqi insurgents inside a Fallujah house, Peralta is struck in the head by a ricochet, likely fired by another Marine. He falls to the floor.
2.- As the insurgents flee, one of them lobs a grenade toward the Marines.
3.- The grenade lands next to Peralta as Marines take cover or run from the room.
4.- Five Marines see Peralta scoop the grenade under his body, where it explodes.
If this is not and act of heroism what it is?

Peralta's family was notified of the decision Wednesday by Lt Gen. Richard Natonski, a top Marine Corps commander Col. David Lapan, a Marine spokesman said he was unaware of any recent award nomination that was denied in this way.

This information was posted today September 18, 2008 by the USA Today newspaper in his page 4A with this fancy title Some upset Marine sergeant won't receive Medal of Honor.

John McCain-No Friend of Veterans

Senator McCain has a long in undistinguished voting record on veterans issues. In 2006 the Disabled American Veterans awarded his a rating of 20% (versus 80% for Obama). In 2006 the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America awarded him a grade of D (versus B+ for Obama). Consider these specific votes:

Voted against adding $430 million for veterans's health care (Senate Vote 98, HR 4939, 4/26/06).
Voted against converting veterans' health care funding into mandatory spending (Senate Vote 63, S. Con Res, 3/14/06).

Voted against increasing veterans' health care spending by ending certain corporate tax breaks (Senate Vote 41, S. Con Res, 2/14/06).

Voted to kill $19 million for military and veterans' hospitals (Senate vote 7, HR 4297, 2/2/06).

Voted against establishing formula for veterans' health care funding (senate vote 251, HR 2863, 10/5/05).

Voted against protecting veterans, armed service members and spouces of deceased service members from new bankruptcy means test (Senate Vote 13, S.256, 3/1/05).

Voted to kill transfer of Iraqi reconstruction funds to veterans' health care (Senate Vote 379, S. 1689, 10/14/03).

McCain was at his most cynical and hypocritical worst during the debate on the GI Bill for the 21st Century. First he opposed it. Then he offered a bill to kill it. Then he missed the vote. Finally, he took credit for it.

I just took action on this issue and thought you might find it interesting too.

Please contact your Senators today and urge them to vote in favor of the Veterans Disability Claims Modernization Act of 2008 (H.R. 5892). This important legislation will essentially direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to modernize the disability benefits claims processing system of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of compensation to veterans and their families and survivors. H.R. 5892 passed the House unanimously on July 31, 2008 and was referred to the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs. The bill contains a number of favorable provisions, such as:
â�¢ Requires improvements in VA's work credit, quality assurance, and management systems in order to improve accuracy and accountability in decisions affecting disability compensation;
â�¢ implements enhanced training, including certification, for VA employees responsible for processing claims;
â�¢ requires VA to immediately assign temporary, partial ratings for severe disabilities that are indisputably related to military service;
â�¢ allows for substitution by surviving spouses as claimants when a veteran spouse dies while a claim is pending; and
â�¢ mandates that the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims must address issues raised by an appellant in court decisions rather than remanding or deny a appeal without addressing such issues.

Veterans Groups Appalled at White House

Our Disabled Veterans Need Our Help!

I am passing on this article from the Air Force Times about veterans who are fighting to have Segways classified in the same catagory as wheelchairs under the ADA (medical devices). Segways have been donated to over 150 disabled vets of Iraq and Afghanistan, and there are solid medical reasons for using them rather than wheelchairs. The current rules don't cover them and the proposed rules would classify them in the same catagory as golf carts and bicycles. Fellow Democrats this is important, Please take 5 minutes out of your day to comment. Comments can be submitted at http://www.regulations.gov.

The deadline is Aug. 18.
