My Story: I have voted for the Democratic Party since 1974. I ran for elected office in 2005 for the County Wide Drainage Commission in Jackson County and fell short a few votes in the election but have not ruled out running in future elections. For the acknowledgment of the Tragedy of 9-11, I protested on our Court House Lawn on Sept 11, 2007. And I will continue this each year. This past Primary in March I was inspired by the Senator from New York, the Honorable Hillary Clinton and worked with her Campaign and held a fund raiser for her and Rick Noreiga running against John Cornyn for State Senate as a Precinct Captain and was elected as a Primary/Caucus Delegate and also elected to the County Convention then to be elected to the State Convention in Austin this past June. I fulfilled all but one of these elected duties. The funds for the trip to Austin fell short and I conceded my delegate spot to an alternate.
