My Story: A lifelong Democrat, I became excited about politics for the first time during the 2004 presidential election cycle with the candidacy of Howard Dean. After the "reelection" of G.W. Bush, I looked for a way to channel my energy and anger, eventually founding an online community, Disabled Americans for Democracy. I remain active, within the limitations imposed by my disabilities, in the Deaniac community. My heroes include Chairman Dean and Stephen Hawking, the great, severely disabled, English cosmologist. I enjoy reading, studying, writing bad SF and Fantasy stories, and helping to look after my family's ten rescued cats.
