My Story: I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, in a diverse, working class, community that fostered my identification with the Democratic Party (even if my parents didn’t). In college I studied American and Russian social history which further strengthened my connection to liberal/progressive idealism. As a professional living in the north suburbs of Dallas for the last 5 years, I am sick of being a closet progressive and fist pumping on the rare occasion I see a tattered Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker. I feel it’s my responsibility to utilize the skills that I have had the good fortunate of attaining towards the betterment of those less fortunate than I.
