Angry Democrat in the Bronx-D.P.

My Story: I have been a Democrat since I became a United States citizen in 1980 and I vote in every election. I could no longer live in my country because of all the injustices I saw there every day. So I came to the U.S. in the hope of having a better life and being treated fairly. So far my life has improved (well, at least until Bush took office in 2000) and for the most part I have received fair treatment. I am very angry about President Bush and his administration and I want our elected Democratic officials to take action against this Administration. President Bush and Vice-President Cheney should be impeached. They lied to the American public about the reasons for the war in Iraq and they failed to apprehend Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan. In addition, our economic conditions under this Administration have deteriorated, there are too many uninsured citizens, jobs have been outsourced to other countries, corporations are getting subsidies and tax breaks for taking jobs away from this country, the rich are pay less taxes than the working class, women's rights are being attacked everyday, and our civil liberties are being stripped away day-by-day in the name of homeland security. I was elated in 2006 when so many Democrats were elected to office. But have been disappointed lately with the lack of forceful action on the part of our Democrats in Washington. We, the voting Democrats, need to raise our voices and demand that the Democratic officials in Washington hold this Administration accountable immediately! We must stop the abuse! I guess from what I've stated above you gather that I am a progressive Democrat and I am very angry. We, as a nation, need to get back to our principles of helping the less fortunate and stabilizing our economic future instead of invading countries under false pretenses.
