My Story: I am a 50 Y.O. man with a permanent disability. I wish that I could identify myself in some other way. I feel no shame in having a T.B.I.(Traumatic Brain Injury),but unless I address myself as such I risk losing the small amount of money I receive from SSDI. Of greater importance than the money,and cosequant buying power,is the loss of medical services. I am fortunate in finding decent and, for the most part,compassionate doctors. They seem to be willing to accept the paltry amount that they are reimbursed by the SS Admin. To quote Donna Summer "I will survive",but there are thousands of people with disabilities who will not.
