My Story: I have supported Democratic Party candidates in the past as a volunteer, but have not noticed that Democratic leaders previously displayed much concern for voters in rural areas, especially so-called "red states." Since this website is excellent in my opinion, hopefully under the management of former Vermont Governor Howard Dean this Party's management and concern for rural voters is improving dramatically. I hope the Democratic Party will genuinely pursue a Fifty State strategy during the upcoming national election of 2008, and that the Party will nominate a presidential ticket that I can support enthusiastically. Additionally, instead of focusing on different "interest group" agendas I hope the Democratic Party will emphasize the character issues and fundamental shared national concerns that unify people in the United States,e.g. such as the importance of the Bill of Rights to all of us.
