My Story: I am a 59 year old chair bound disabled American Veteran. Served in the U.S.ARMY as an infantryman incountry Vietnam durring the TET OFFENSIVE 1968. M.O.S. 11Bravo10. Combat Military police whose job was to pull security protecting ammo convoys to the units all over Ho CHI Mihn's Playground. The Great Spirit brought me back home alive, 59,000 plus Americans did not come home, their names are on the wall in D.C. They are the true blue heroes that gave their life for America, at the time that pot smoking party goer,s such as the likes of Bush and his cronies were being Kept out of harms way with mommy and daddy's clout. It is shamefull that durring the Vietnam War thousands of Well to Do Draft Dodgers were seeking Safe Havens in Mexico, Canada, Europe. And what is even more shamefull is that President Jimmy Carter gave Blanket Amnesty to all of the cowardly Elite draft dodgers at the end of the war. They are now the very same extreme Rightwingers that support sending America's young Patriots to the slaughter in God Forsaken Foreign lands thousands of miles away in the name of freedom. They are the very same that have turned America into the light for the world and keep Americans in the Dark. I am not against aiding foreign countries in their quest for freedom. But it is neccessary for the American Citizenry to be taken care of first. How do the rightwingers justify earmarking billions of dollars to foreign aid for whatever the purpose may be, if there is so much need amongst America's own. I joined the Army inspired by the greatest President America has ever had, J.F.K when he said,"Don't Ask What Your Country Can Do For You, But Ask What You Can Do For Your Country". My first political grass roots campaign experience was; The Viva! Kennedy. Now many years past 80% 0f my time is spent bed bound, the balance of the time in my wheel chair. I live only one day at a time by the Grace of the Great Spirit. legally blind and on pain management. My ethnic constitution is Native American Navajo,and Native American Yaqui, (Dine'e Nishli Naakai) Of the Mexican Clan both on my paternal and maternal side of the family. I am multilingual. I earned a AA and a BA in General Ed. Have been married for 40 years to the same wonderfull woman. Raised three children and I have four grandchildren and a fifth one on the way. I fully support Governor Bill Richardson, I know that he is the only and best qualified man for the job. His credentials speak for him. I have a lot of respect for all of the other Democratic Candidates, but I do not believe a candidate should be elected based on Charisma or how quick and witty they are in debates. When was the last time that a president was elected for being witty? There have been instances where the elections were railroaded, But never has there been someone that I know of for being witty , quick with the tongue and useless to lead the country as a rubber stamp president. I do agree there have been many rubber stamp governors in the past But not presidents. Again I repeat it is about preparation and background qualification. Like it or not the decisive factor for the primary and the general elections wil be influenced by the Hispanic Latino Voters atlarge. And I also want to pointout that the latter mentioned are not voting for Governor Richardson based on his ethnic constitution. They will vote for him because he is the man with the answers for resolution of the needs of ALL AMERICANS. Indigenous Americans, as well as all non Native, He will Represent all ethnicities in America as Americans ALL, because we are Americans. There have been other latino candidates here in California and in many states at all levels that gambled on the ethnic card and were surprized large numbers of latinos all over the state did not vote for them. Electing a Candidate is about qualification as the best man for the job, And most definitely not about Affirmative Action. The reality is I could care less whether the governor was blue, black green or purple, He is the right man for the job and that is all that matters. I as stated before am on pain management only, the medication makes it possible for me to go day by day with minimal pain, but it on the other hand robs me of sleep. The time that I spend in my bed is the same time that I devote to my computer Key board. Trying to reach as many people as possible as I can to support Governor Bill Richardson. I spend a lot of time on my cell phone reaching people. And when the opportunity and the strength to transfer from bed to my vehicle comes I have my wife drive me all over the state tracking family members and friends with no access to cell phones, land lines or computers. As hard as it is to believe there are many people in the same situation all over America, They lose their jobs, and have to rely on bare necessities, Where a common landline telephone becomes a luxury. I have been sucessfull in getting them to committ their vote for the governor and to volunteer to canvass communities door to door. Not that I am so convincing a talker but because once I put the Governors Resume in their hands they decide to give full support. I know that the Great Spirit will make the election of the Governor come to pass, I only pray the Great Spirit will allow me at the pace of one day at a time to see that day when Governor Bill Richardson Is SWORN IN AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The Brave and Courageous taste of DEATH only once, The cowards die a thousand deaths.______________________________________________ My name is Edward, My grandpa Dine' Warrior named me little Dine' which is how I have been known by family members for several years back. A few short weeks ago grandpa was ill, due to long standing terminal disease setback. He is now stable. When he became stable he could no longer handle the keyboard of his laptop due to crippling arthritis to his only good extremity, his right hand. He is also severely partially sighted. For a while I have been his eyes and ears and his voice on the blog posts, answering or rebutting comments on blogs. Yesterday he decided to no longer blog over his disgust of the infighting tearing up the party. He had me place his last blog where he bids goodbye to all his well over 1,000 friends. I have been charged by him to monitor his pages and to attempt to grow our mutual friends network, as grandpa calls it because we have become a package deal, my grandpa and I. I am only 14 years old and have been homeschooled all my life by grandpa. He also homeschooled my siblings. I plan on becoming a public servant when I become of age. The picture here is of my grandpa and I at the convention in San Diego, I was also with grandpa at the Prez on the Rez sponsored by Morongo Nation, on August 23 07, where all tribal leaders from across America came to meet with Governor Bill Richardson, where a Special Ceremony was done in his Favor. I do not know indepth about the ceremony, however in my eyes and in my heart it seems to me more like a type of annointing, for the governor because he is loved and cared for by all of Native America. He has been supportive of Native America since he became a junior congressman, many many moons back as grandpa says, I say also. May the Great Spirit Grandfather Bless All who accept my grandpa's and my joint friendship.
