My Story: Professional designer of theatrical scenery, avid political junkie, proudly progressive. I'm saddened by the degree to which my country -- this stunning, hopeful, idealistic experiment in government by the governed -- has become, justifiably, perceived as a growing hegemony. I'm saddened that we as a society keep lowering the bar with respect to the support we provide the least among us ... the children, the elderly, the homeless, the desperately impoverished, and the sick in mind and body. And I'm frightened by the influenced of corporations on our public policy. Yet, I have hope; I think all is not lost, and indeed, the 2006 elections revived my confidence that we can do better. Truly, we MUST do better.
