My Story: I gotten bitten with the political bug after being falling ill with an extremely severe case of Crohn's Disease at the age of 14. Despite over 70 hospitalizations and 35 surgeries, I have made lemonade out of life's lemons by devoting my life to progressive activism. I've been extensively involved in advocacy on the local, state, and national levels since 2000. I've made a name for myself through the netroots community as a political blogger. I serve as the Outreach Director for the Michigan progressive netroots community. Besides connecting the online and offline worlds through blogger/legislative meet ups, blogging workshops, and online activism, I currently contribute on three blogs. Liberal, Loud and Proud is a progressive community-based blog focused on the Lansing area.
