My Story: I'm an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, by way of the mountains near Asheville where I still call home. My studies are in political science, environmental studies, and city and regional planning, and by the end of next summer hope to have a degree or at least a minor in each, depending on how the dust settles. I enjoy working on local issues with an ecological or social equity focus, especially transportation. The rare moments I'm not doing something academic, I'm trying to get things done on the local level, serving as precinct chair here in Northside (an economically disadvantaged predominantly African American neighborhood) and doing my part on both the town and university's respective transportation boards.
