My Story: I live in Schurz, NV and a member of the Walker River Paiute Tribe. I became involved this past year July 2007, while I was the Chairman of the Walker River Paiute Tribe and endorsed Hillary Clinton as the Presidential Candidate for the Democratic Party. I am no longer the Chairman but I made a commitment and endorsed Hillary Clinton. I feel strongly that she is a strong woman with tremendous knowledge and leadership capabilities. What strikes me most is her breadth of knowledge on women's issues and her personal commitment to safeguarding America's families. Hillary has always fought for issues that are important to me and I want to be able to see a woman as our President. Senator Clinton and her husband have been long time allies of Native American's and their issues. Hillary has reached out personally to the tribal communities here in Nevada and she and her staff diligently follow-up to address any of our concerns. She speaks to the issues that affect us the most, like health care, and the policies she enacts reflect that. Senator Clinton has demonstrated that she has the conviction to handle the trying circumstances of national leadership. And in terms of the privilege to serve, I know that she won't take that lightly - and she won't forget about those like our tribal communities that she's reached out to while on the campaign trail. Like any strong woman leader, when Hillary makes a promise to improve America, I know that I can count on her to keep it. I also acted as her Ambassador during the Caucus on January 19, 2008 and I am now a delegate from Mineral County and will be moving forward to the State Convention. My commitment to Hillary's campaign has allowed me to learn a great deal about the Democratic process and I have really enjoyed meeting people from other areas that are passionate about the issues that we face on a daily basis. I have always been concerned about Health Care, Civil Rights, Nuclear Waste, Renewable Energy, and Economic Development. It was really great that Nevada had the opportunity to be the third State to Caucus and I believe we all have a tremendous responsibility to maintain that position as our vote does count. I look forward to becoming more involved in the Democratic process here in Nevada and would like to go to the Nationals!!! Go Nevada!

The Competitor’s Creed It is not the critic who counts, Not the man who point out how the strong man Stumbled or where the doer of deeds Could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually In the arena; whose face is marred by dust And sweat and blood who strives valiantly; Who errs and comes up short again and again; Who knows the great enthusiasms, The great devotions, and spends himself In a worthy cause; who at the best knows In the end the triumph of high achievements; And who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails While daring greatly; so that his place Shall never be with those cold and timid souls Who know neither defeat or victory. Theodore Roosevelt—April 10, 1899
