My Story: I'm a wife, Mom, and Nana to 6 grandkids in a five generation family on both my parents side; one from the North the other from the South. I turned 18 in 1976 and voted Jimmy Carter into office. To this day not one Politician gets as much respect from me as he does. I think even now he is truly one of the greatest human beings on this earth. ....................................................................................................... I'm not a politician, don't care to be either. However, I do care about my country, even though I don't wear a flag pin, but most importantly I care about the future of my grandchildren like I never have before. I have six, three of each sex, ages 4 months to 10 years old. Oh, and one 225 lb, Mastiff that is as much a grandchild as the grandkids! Have you ever had a full grown Mastiff try and sit on your lap? Or seen an 8-lb, 18 year old, tiny, cat make a Mastiff run quicker than a road runner? Funny as heck but make no bones about it, he protects our home and his family and makes that well known. :) Maybe the next picture of "me" will be of him. ............................................................................................... I am one of those that was fed up with our Party not so many years ago and dropped my name as a registered Democrat; I have never stopped being a Democrat. This year I realized if our Party is to change for the better, if we are to unite, if we are to act like adults and not children, it is going to take all of us to make that happen and I need to walk the talk as they say. My primary reasons for joining partybuilders is to build unity within our Party and get "Real" people involved in the rules of the DNC, not just those elected into high offices and those with money. I believe if we, the Democratic Party, are to have election reform and voters rights as a major issue that we need to start at the top; the DNC. ............................................................... "Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose." .......................................................... "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." ............................................................
