My Story: Hello, my name is Edward Janus an Advocate and Activist for the Disabled. I have Cerebral Palsy and I am a amputee confined to a wheelchair. I am a Homebound, Shut-In. I have worked to earn a living for almost 25 years. Then I had over ten surgeries on cervical spinal column in my lifetime. Now I have been on Permanent Social Security Disability since 1996. I was married and have a daughter. After my wife was killed in 1999 she was hit by an automobile crossing a street. Now, I Live Alone. I receive only one household income. A Social Security check monthly. I would contact people by telephone, but I am also deaf. I cannot hear very well on the phone.
