My Story: Atypical Texas Democrat. I come from suburbia Houston, I attended Texas A&M University, was a field coordinator for one of the most successful Texas Democrats, am attending the George Bush School of Government and Public Service to earn a Masters in Public Service and Administration, and am the first democrat to be elected to student body President of that school. I believe that government can be a force for good and "bigger" government is not the same as "worse" government. I believe in pragmatism, balance of power, the rule of law, empathy toward those who have been mistreated by others as well as history, and compassion in policy. I am also a fervent party supporter. It is the primary mechanism to institute real change.
