My Story: I'm very excited about the Obama/Biden victory and am cautiously optimistic and hopeful about our possibilities after 1/20/09! I'm a very independent minded Democrat. While I have complete cynicism toward the Republicans, I also have a healthy dose of skepticism towards my own party. I try to balance my radical ideals with pragmatic realism. So, overall I'd describe myself as a moderate liberal. I believe in economic fairness/justice, which includes fighting corporate power and greed, workers rights, a living wage and progressive taxation. Civil liberties and civil rights, universal health care (ideally single payer), gun control, election and campaign finance reform.
