My Story: A political activist since high school in a family dedicated to public service (father is a public health pediatrician and mother is a social worker), Andrew has distinguished himself as a Democratic leader in Los Angeles. He is currently chair of the LA Chapter of the National Jewish Democratic Counsel and Democrats for Israel Los Angeles. He also has served as Corresponding Secretary for the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley, as a member of the California Democratic Party Executive Board from 2001-2003 and 2005-2007, President of the San Fernando Young Democrats, Co-Founder of the Stonewall Young Democrats and Parliamentarian of the California Young Democrats. He has attended the past four Democratic National Conventions, including serving as a delegate to the last two (Gore and Kerry). Andrew served as Deputy Director of the 1994 Maryland Coordinated Campaign, Southern California Political Director for State Controller Steve Westly in 2002, Co-Chair of LA Grassroots Jews for Kerry in 2004 and West Los Angeles Lead Organizer for the California Coordinated Campaign in 2006. He is passionate about "people" issues such as religious tolerance, reproductive choice, the protection of Israel and healthcare.
