July 16, 2006: Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich (D) has out fundraised Alaskan Sen. Ted Stevens (R)--the longest sitting Senator in the hisory of the U.S. Senate; and arguabley the most powerful figure on the Potamic.

Mark Begich is an independant Democrat who stands for the people and their Civil Liberties.  The Begich Plan* includes the restoration of Habias corpus, the repeal and/or serious modification of the Patriot Act to protect American citizens right to privacy, and the 2nd Amendment.  Mark Begich is committed to the opening of ANWR as just one part of a comprehensive, long-term energy plan.* Mark Begich is winning the HEARTS and MINDS of the Alaskan people in a fashion as remarkable, if not more remarkable than when Barack Obama became the Senator of his home state.  He is turning a predominantly Red State--BLUE.  Democracy lives, breathes and thrives in ALASKA!

We need YOUR help to UNSEAT Senator Ted Stevens.  He has not represented the best interests of this State for a very long, long time.  What is more, inter-state support from the rest of the Democratic Party will go a LONG way to turn this long-time Republic bastion into the new Northern seat of the Democratic Party!  So let it begin!  We need your help fellow Democrats; $20 or $50 for MARK BEGICH to unseat U.S. Senator Ted Stevens!
