Speak Out on Stem Cell Research
George Bush has chosen political posturing over human life, denying hope to millions of Americans, their families and loved ones who are affected by debilitating diseases.
He used his first-ever veto to stop the discovery of new cures for diseases like juvenile diabetes, leukemia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and many others. More than 70% of Americans and majorities in both chambers of Congress support stem cell research. The bill he vetoed was a small, practical measure that would have made a big difference for medical research based on sound science.
Now is the time to speak out. Send a message to your representatives letting them know that you support cure discovery now:
I fully support stem cell research and the hope it offers to American families. Despite the President's veto today, this issue is too important to let be a victim of partisan political posturing. Please do the right thing and continue to push for federal funding of stem cell research.
