DNC Launches New Radio Ad Featuring President Barack Obama

WASHINGTON — Today the Democratic National Committee launched a new radio ad featuring President Barack Obama as part of its seven-figure advertising blitz targeting communities of color across the nation.

In the ad titled “Legacy,” President Obama reminds voters that the gains we’ve achieved during his administration – including cutting the unemployment and uninsured rate within the Black community in half – will be erased if voters don’t stand with Democrats this election.

“President Obama is asking Black voters to stand with Democrats, because the Democratic Party is fighting with them to level the playing field and give every American a fair shot, regardless of their zip code at birth. Hillary Clinton has been a lifelong champion for equality, and understands what’s at stake for our communities. Every vote has value, and we cannot take for granted the power that each and every one of us holds in this election. We must get out the vote, and we must elect Democrats up and down the ticket,” said Donna Brazile, Interim DNC Chair.

The DNC contracted Burrell Communications Group, an African-American owned communications firm, to produce “Legacy” and purchase air time. “Legacy” will air on nationally syndicated urban radio programs, including The Steve Harvey Show, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Keep Hope Alive with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Keepin’ It Real with Rev. Al Sharpton, and The D.L. Hughley Show.
