DNC on New Hampshire’s Primary Elections

DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement on the results of last night’s primary elections in New Hampshire:

“Congratulations to Molly Kelly, Chris Pappas, and all of yesterday’s Democratic nominees in the Granite State! With this exciting slate of candidates, I know New Hampshire is ready to organize to flip the governor’s mansion, keep the state’s congressional delegation blue, and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in November. The choice for New Hampshire’s voters in 2018 is clear: Democrats like Molly Kelly are ready to fight for the state’s working families by combating the opioid crisis, bringing more good-paying jobs to the state, improving education, and protecting Granite Staters’ access to health care. Meanwhile, Republicans like Chris Sununu are running to be a rubber-stamp for Donald Trump’s disastrous agenda. Granite State voters deserve a governor who isn’t afraid to stand up to the Trump administration and defend New Hampshire values, and Sununu has proven that he isn’t up to the job. Time and again, Sununu has put his ties to the Trump administration above the needs of working families in the Granite State. New Hampshire voters are hungry for Democratic leadership, and they’re ready to make their voices heard at the ballot box in November.

“The DNC was proud to invest $100,000 in the New Hampshire Democratic Party to support efforts to organize in communities across the state. We look forward to continuing to partner with the state party to elect Molly Kelly, Chris Pappas, and Democrats up and down the ticket this November.”
