DNC Raises $22.2 Million in October

WASHINGTON – The Democratic National Committee today announced that it raised $22.2 million during the period between October 1st and October 19th, ending the period with $8.28 million on hand.

“We are extremely grateful for the support the Committee has received this month to help fund critical get out the vote, election protection and voter mobilization efforts across the country,” said DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile. “Election Day is on the horizon, and this campaign will be won on the ground, which is why we are leaving no stone unturned in our pursuit to elect Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, take back the Senate and the House, and elect Democrats up and down the ballot from the courthouse to the White House.”

Over the past several months, the DNC has made critical investments where they matter most – in the states. We opened Victory Leaders Councils in Arizona, Georgia and Utah, transferred $2.5 million each to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for voter mobilization and voter protection efforts, kicked off the Forward Together Bus Tour which has fired up grassroots volunteers across the country, and launched a seven figure advertising blitz targeted at key minority communities to lay out the stakes in this election and the choice for voters.

“The resources announced today will be critical to our efforts, but we know there is still a long way to go before Election Day and that it is going to take every ounce of support to have the kind of night we’re hoping for,” added Brazile
